Labiaplasty is mostly applied to have smaller lips and is the most common genital cosmetic surgery. It is usually applied as a reduction of the lips, and sometimes as a correction of the difference in size between the two lips. In fact, the perception of small lip size is a matter of opinion and most of the time there is no problem other than an aesthetic concern. However, in severe growths (in case of hypertrophy), it can cause genital dryness, irritation caused by rubbing of the vagina and underwear together, infections, and pain during intercourse.
