Sagging on the inside of the upper leg is usually caused by excessive weight loss, while it can be structural or age-related. It can cause a cosmetically poor appearance and at the same time, the friction of the sagging skins together can cause irritation and hygiene problems.
In thigh or leg stretching surgery, a small amount of adipose tissue is removed along with excess and sagging skin tissue, it is not a leg thinning surgery. Depending on the excess of the skin, the incisions may be only in the groin, but sometimes they may extend to the inner thigh.
If the patient smokes, it is recommended to stop weeks before surgery.
The operation lasts an average of 2-3 hours under general anaesthesia. Drains are used to prevent blood accumulation. When the drains are removed, follow-up will be performed only with dressing and corset.
